Quality Control Analyst
Temp-to-Hire Position
Memphis, TN
$20/hr - Starting pay

Responsibilities:

• Providing analytical analysis to the plant and to the R&D organization in inspection/testing of raw materials, in process samples, in final product samples and shipments
• Verify and calibrate all test equipment (Equipment includes pH, GC, GC-MS, HPLC, etc.)
• Perform minor maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of instruments, test methods and laboratory practices
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Data entry and reporting of inspection and test results
• Enter all product data as well as control standard data into QC Database and SAP
• Identify trends using basic SPC and control charting techniques resulting from testing
• Adhere to all SH&E guidelines and policies maintaining personal safety within the workplace
• Provide inter-departmental support, as needed
• Perform internal audits

Qualifications:

• BS in science related field (Chemistry or Biology preferred)
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of lab experience (preferred in a chemical manufacturing site)
• Experience with analytical testing equipment such as HPLC, GC, GC-MS, LC- MS, and IR Spectrophotometry
• QA/QC experience
• Ability to identify and solve complex problems

Working hours consist of 12-hour shifts;
7am 7pm first two days;
7pm 7am next two days; off four days
