General Expectations:

  • Perform quality work within deadlines, with or without direct supervision.
  • Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and functions.
  • Support Company Goals, conform with the requirements of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) and perform duties as assigned.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Interfaces with other functions within the organization and with suppliers on quality-related issues.
  • Conducts First Article Inspections, Incoming Inspections and Acceptance Testing on company products.
  • Conducts random in process inspections, including dimensional measurement, to verify process and product conformance.
  • Conducts internal audits of the Company QMS.
  • Assists other functions with troubleshooting and problem solving of nonconformities and quality issues.
  • Assists in process and product quality improvement efforts.
  • Supports the customer Return Material Authorization (RMA) process, documents and analyzes returns.
  • Manages the Customer Owned Property process to ensure accountability and compliance with any required communication and/or reporting activities.
  • Assists the Quality Team as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • AA or higher degree in related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years or more of experience working with an ISO 9001 QMS, or similar system (e.g. AS9100).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Microsoft Office Suite and general computing skills, including data entry and report writing.
  • Experience with safe forklift operations.

Preferred Skills:

  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Technician (CQT) Certification highly desired.
  • Excellent communication and work management skills.
  • Ability to follow written or verbal instructions accurately and be detail oriented.
  • Mechanical ability to operate complex equipment during testing procedures.
  • Ability to accurately document inspection or test results and generate reports for internal and customer use

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions is required.
  • Requires working with a full range of motions and to have good manual dexterity.
  • Working with a computer and monitor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
