Responsibilities:
- Identifies and resolves problems by completing audits, system improvements, and implementing change
- Develops quality assurance plans and reviews work procedures on a regular basis
- Coordinates and oversees pre-operational inspection and swabbing program
- Schedules and coordinates all housekeeping and internal sanitation activities
- Manages purchasing and inventory of QA and housekeeping supplies
- Oversees hold and rework program
- Reviews quality and relevant production records
- Implement and maintain programs including sampling plans, process capability studies and quality system audits
- Lead inventory hold process and manage block and unblock inventory with quality issues
- Direct the tracking of defects, test results or reported quality control data
- Manages scheduling and training of direct reports on all 3 shifts.
- Provides coaching and feedback to all direct reports
- Serves as back up to other QA Leadership as needed.
- Utilizes ERP system for product traceability and control
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or equivalent.
- Required 3 years of food processing experience
- Experience with GFSI Audit expectations and requirements preferred
- PCQI, SQF, HACCP certifications preferred
