Quality Manager with Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. (Hummelstown, PA)

Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements: Federal & State, Third Party; and Kosher/Organic/Halal certification organizations. Ensure compliance with policies and regulations formulated by DFA and customer organizations. Develop, verify, and validate Food Safety and quality programs per FSMA regulations with supporting prerequisite programs. Oversee Sanitation, design and develop environmental monitoring testing policy to maintain an effective plant hygiene plan. Collaboratively lead investigations to identify root cause(s) and resolve customer and supplier non-conformities and maintain corrective actions and preventive actions program. Conduct and provide employee training GMP's, HACCP, Food Safety, and Allergens to comply with FDA and GFSI regulations. Track and report plant quality key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management to identify food safety and quality opportunities. Perform data analysis to identify critical trends or find leading indicators to enable proactive decisions.

This position supervises 1 subordinate Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist.

Travel required nationally 15% of the time.

Requirements:

Requirements: Requires Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, or related field. Position requires 3 years of related experience in the food manufacturing industry, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: LIMS and ERP systems and application of GLPO to laboratory operations; Ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements, and internal FSQ programs/standards; PEM program to ensure holistic management of food safety issues, while implementing effective corrective actions; Maintaining plant preparedness for customer and regulatory audits/visits; Ensuring that plant pest control programs are current, followed, and utilized to enable proactive maintenance; and Overseeing plant sanitation to drive a robust sanitation program that supports a cGMP environment. Driving continuous improvement through preventative risk mitigation and predictive analytics using SPC.
