The Inspector II is accountable for the accurate initial inspection, verification and quality reporting of purchased products in relation to customer purchase order requirements. The inspector conducts and records the results of the first visual and dimensional inspection of aircraft hardware, parts and tools for verification of identification and conformity to product standards and specifications according to the customer’s Quality Plan; Utilizes various quality measuring devices and equipment, in accordance with Incora Q.A. Work Instructions; Verifies conformity of corresponding certification packets and other pertinent data from manufacturer to verify product traceability; Assigns pass, fail or rejection status on inspected products, then transfers inspected products and documentation to applicable phase of Quality Assurance or elevates non-conformance issues.
Requirements
-High School Diploma or GED
-Related college or certificate program training preferred.
-Minimum of 3 years industry experience
-Hands-on experience with the use of hardware measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers, ring gages, thread plug gages, optical comparative and Johnson gage or other direct-reading engagement tool, is preferred.
-Must be able to perform core job duties of a Level I inpsector
-Certificates of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing “G.D.&T” and Blueprint Reading
-Successful completion of 3 months of Incora inspection training and testing
-Strong verbal and written communication skills, with professional daily interaction with internal and externally
-Ability to be detailed oriented and perform basic research, if required
-Ability to be trained in the essential duties of the job, with accuracy; Ability to learn and gain knowledge of the integrated database systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel, as needed.
