Greentech Renewables is the nations largest whole distributor of solar and renewable energy components.
As a Purchasing Manager/ Agent, you will be responsible for sourcing goods and managing vendors. The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic, high-quality, and cost-effective procurement activities across multiple suppliers and business facets. You should know how to evaluate market conditions and negotiate effectively to maintain relationships with customers and vendors.
This position is responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring minimum turns, eliminating aged inventory, and keeping up with the market demand for new products. Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential skills and will play a vital role in managing large projects for our customers and retrieving the correct material for the job. Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy by conducting routine cycle counts and researching the potential causes for inaccuracies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a highly organized individual
- Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Marketing, or similar field OR
- 3-5 years experience in a purchasing and/or inventory management position (combination of education and experience is acceptable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a team-based environment
ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES
- Analytical skills
- Solid judgment with ability to make decisions in a fluid environment and overcome challenges
- Adequate negotiation skills
- Basic to intermediate computer literacy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Some knowledge of solar and/or electrical components strongly preferred
- Previous experience with wholesale distribution or contractors/installers a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job operates in a professional office environment and various warehouse locations and conditions.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
This position has a salary range of $65,000-85,000 total annual compensation (salary + annual profit sharing bonus) depending on experience
