Shelby Medical Associates, P.A. is looking for a board certified Pulmonary & Sleep physician to join our 4 IM physicians and 10 nurse practitioners.Shelby is a city of 30,000 that serves the surrounding area of approximately 100,000 people. Situated half-way between Charlotte and Asheville, our physicians and staff enjoy a safe small town environment that is perfect for raising a family. In addition, there is abundant recreation with the Blue Ridge Parkway and the National Whitewater Recreation Center both within a 1 hour drive. Snow skiing is within a 2 hour drive.
At Shelby Medical Associates, our mission is to provide high quality comprehensive and compassionate care to every patient. However, there is no inpatient responsibility and “call” is minimal — every 14-15 days, split evenly among the physicians and nurse practitioners.
Incoming physicians should anticipate a high level of autonomy and can choose a practice style that best accommodates their patients’ needs. After the first year’s salary, physicians typically buy-in as an equal partner, although this is not required.
