We are looking for an individual with a background in PI Systems Administration! This position will serve as liaison between Operations, Information Technology (IT) and GIS groups to design, enhance, implement, maintain, support, and troubleshoot PI Systems including reporting, analysis, and integration solutions. As the Public Works Operation Data Systems Analyst you will work with end users across multiple groups to gather specifications for improvement to existing time-series technologies, processes, and tools. In this position you will propose, design, and utilize visualizations and analytics. The Public Works Operation Data Systems Analyst will be PI System Administrator, so previous experience and/or training with the PI System is a requirement. In addition, this position will support the development and implementation of new integration projects as well as administer our current operational technology systems. It is important that the candidate has great interest in systems integration, be customer-orientated, have a hands-on mentality, and is eager to learn. Additional information on job responsibilities: Responsible for administration of the OSI Pi system. Responsible for PI configuration, testing, tuning, monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades in combination with IT resources.Utilize PI Asset Framework, system management tools, command line tools, PI Analysis, Pi Notifications, PI Vision, Pi Builder, Pi Datalink and other PI clients and tools.Configure point, user, group security settings. Set up Pi Trusts.Ability to install and configure various Pi Interface and Connector instances such as PI interface for OPC DA, UFL Connector, and Campbell Scientific Loggernet interface.Ability to ingest data streams from the internet include RESTful APIs, xml, scraping, etc. using various tools and techniques.Responsible for administration of OCS (OsiSoft Cloud Services – Now Aveva Data Hub) and data transfer.Responsible for administration of SEEQ analytics server.Configure PI Integration tools like Power BI, ESRI, etc.Configure ArcGIS GeoEvent Sever data feeds and analysis.Develop data QAQC program and standard operating procedures for addressing data quality.Develop system templates, analysis, dashboards, maps, and reports.Collaborate and lead discussions with Operations, Engineering, Treatment, IT and other departments to identify, extract and analyze operational data. Responsibilities include development of appropriate KPIs.Stay up to date on emerging technologies including integration, visualization tools, techniques such as predictive and prescriptive analytics, and cloud-based solutions.Responsible for training end users on Pi system technology.The Public Works Department values employees and their professional development. What are the minimum qualifications?.Bachelor's Degree in computer science or technology, information systems or software engineering, business administration or a related course of study, and three years of experience in business process analysis, application design or specialized control systems programming, equipment, and instrumentation typical to the position, or any combination of experience and training that demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities as listed, and ability to perform the essential job functions.Must pass the pre-employment background check.Must have an Oregon Driver license and meet the City of Salem's driving standards.Must pass criminal background check necessary to obtain Criminal Justice Information System clearance and Law Enforcement Data System certification within 30 days of hire. .
