Facility Contract Services is a Florida based contract services company, responsible for the employment and management of personnel for municipal clients. Facility Contract Services is currently seeking dynamic and goal-driven employees for the City of Pembroke Pines Communications Division. Employees that are motivated to take on today’s greatest challenges and rewards in the field of local public service and who are passionate about making a difference in local government.

Job Summary

This position will be responsible for writing and disseminating press releases and photos, contact and handle media relations, assist with photographing/short videos at special events, assist with photo archiving, and selling/invoicing of ads for the city newspaper which is published 6x a year.

The Public Relations/Marketing Specialist will have flexible hours and will be required to work mobile and from City Center, and attend events that may be on weekends or evenings.

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (writing samples and portfolio will be reviewed)
• Strong work ethic and a self-starter mentality
• Organizational skills
