JOB PURPOSEUnder general direction, performs intermediate skilled administrative support work reviewing and processing police records, providing clerical support, assisting with related work as required. Supervises, assigns, reviews, and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the Public Safety Department's Records and Switchboard Sections including the maintenance, retrieval, retention, and destruction of all Public Safety records; ensures work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures; and performs the more complex tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

JOB SPECIFICATIONSEDUCATIONHigh school diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCEMust have a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a switchboard operator or records technician.LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATIONMust be certified by Division of Criminal Information (DCI) as an operator and Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) or must be certified with 6 months of start date.
