Job Summary:
Performs ICD-10-CM and HCPCS/CPT-4 coding for complex visits, including a minimum of 3 Tier 1 specialties or 1Tier 2 specialties.

Performs ICD-10-CM and HCPCS/CPT-4 coding for complex visits, including a minimum of 3 Tier 1 specialties or 1Tier 2 specialties.
Education - Required:
- Associate's Degree in healthcare related field or provider based coding curriculum or
- in coding curriculum to include medical terminology, A&P, ICD-10, and coding guidelines.
Education - Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field.
Experience - Required:
- 3 years of experience in coding experience in a multi-specialty environment.
Experience - Preferred:
- 5 years of experience in coding experience in a multi-specialty environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:
- Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
- Knowledge and understanding of provider based billing processes and workflows.
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology and disease processes.
- Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data.
- Proficient, functional use of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10CM) and HCPCS.
Certifications - Required:
- CPC - Certified Professional Coder Upon Hire or
- CCS-P - Certified Coding Specialist-Physician based Upon Hire or
- RHIT - Registered Health Information Technician Upon Hire

Schedule: Full Time 40 hours, Day Shift, M-F. 8:00a-4:30p
