Position Summary

You will partner with key stakeholders to write, edit, and manage the content and production of persuasive and compliant responses to BK Medical customer Request for Proposals (RFPs). As a proposal specialist they will also own and be the subject matter expert for specific proposal workstreams.

As a critical member of the commercial team, the Proposals Specialist will help deliver the best technical and commercial solution possible from BK Medical through an RFP response.

Essential Job Duties

• Project manages by planning and leading kick-off calls, resource management, content reviews, and other meetings related to the proposals
• Own and be the subject matter expert for specific proposal workstreams
• Partner with sales to increase orders volume and RFP win rate
• Provide initial assessments of proposal requirements to lead go/no-go discussions
• Ensure all deviations from standard Terms and Conditions are properly evaluated through approvers and commercial Contracting
• Compose and edit content including executive summaries, corporate overviews, and solution overviews
• Provide mentorship and perform quality control / copy, editing / proofreading to ensure content is complete, accurate and consistent in grammar, spelling, style and branding
• Develop and monitor proposal schedules to identify and coordinate resources/inputs required
• Utilize RFP tools/software and database to respond to all customer RFP questions including terms and conditions and technical specifications, partner with subject matter experts/key contributors on new and complex questions
• Build and maintain product/services responses in the RFP Q&A Database (using RFP software and tools)

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience as a proposal writer or subject matter expert that contributed to proposals
• In place of proposal industry experience, applicant needs a basic understanding of technical/medical equipment and services
• Proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite products
