The Proposal Manager oversees and leads the development of bespoke winning proposals supporting TRG’s business areas. The successful Proposal Manager will have the responsibility of coordinating all phases of the company’s proposal process in response to U.S. government and commercial Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information and Requests for Quotes (RFQs). This position will also be responsible for overseeing established proposal development processes and procedures. The ability to meet deadlines, a commitment to teamwork, detailed follow-through and a consistent attention to detail are key factors to success in this role. Since this individual manages all proposal support for the company’s business development, he/she must be a team player who is an energetic self-starter and can quickly adapt and thrive in a multitasked, fast-paced environment. This position will report to the Director of Business Development.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Exercising full responsibility and authority for complex government proposals and bid preparations from kick-off meeting to delivery.
- Responsible for interviewing SMEs/program personnel.
- Responsible for the research, and analysis of existing boilerplate text to develop customized, detailed writing.
- Must coordinate efforts to ensure all timelines are met.
- Read, review, and dissect “Shred” complex solicitations (RFP, RFQ, TOs, ITB, and RFI) to determine scope and requirements.
- Research and combine information from multiple sources into a cohesive, easy-to-read, and accurate final product.
- Responsible for ensuring proposals, RFIs and white papers are in a compelling and convincing fashion.
- Ensures compliance with the company’s proposal process,
- Ensures a Lessons Learned /After Action Report (AAR) is completed after proposal submission.
- Coordinate in a matrix organization with Finance, Operations, HR, and Program Managers.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 5 Years of experience as a proposal manager experienced with Government, DoD, GSA, FEDSIM type proposals.
- Must have excellent writing skills.
- In depth knowledge of the Shipley Proposal / RFP processes.
- Problem solving skills and ability to work inside a matrixed company.
- Advanced communication skills; both oral and written.
- Customer focus and teamwork orientation.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to drive change.
