FANUC America Corporation provides the most complete range of industry-leading robotics, CNC and motion control systems, and ROBODRILL machining centers. Our innovative technologies and proven expertise help manufacturers in the Americas to be more efficient, reliable and profitable. We are currently searching for a dynamic, Proposal Engineer to coordinate the development of proposals for our world-class ACP Paint systems.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Develop system concepts utilizing FANUC America standard designs to address the customers paint process requirements. This includes initiating proposal engineering efforts and preparing formal proposal documents along with estimating associated labor and material cost.
• Read and interpret customer specifications.
• Understanding of the FANUC Integrator Network and Discounting Structure.
• Read and interpret application data sheets
• Coordinate, conduct and document engineering and proposal review meetings with Sales and Engineering.
• Draft proposal document and grid document (using PC/Microsoft Excel).
• Estimate material and labor costs (using FANUC America Oracle software)
• Direct interface with customer.
• Interface with engineering personnel and FAC purchasing personnel as required.
• Solicit quotes from vendors
• Document all proposal activities

Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or technical related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience in Paint Shop Automation
• Prior robotics (FANUC preferred) product/application experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in customer proposal development, customer specification review and project grid creation
• Knowledge of automotive/industrial paint and sealing processing
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
