Property Claims Specialist
TalentoHCM has partnered with a rapidly growing global multibillion dollar provider of property and casualty insurance enterprise in their need to find a talented Property Claims Specialist to join their team in Dallas, TX, Charlotte, NC or Alpharetta, GA.
Summary
The Property Claims Specialist will be responsible for handling property claims nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Directing independent account adjusters in the successful evaluation and resolution of Commercial Property Claims that are typically issue oriented and complex in accordance with departmental Best Practices.
- Manage a number of assigned accounts, which will require an awareness of the client’s needs obtained through meaningful communication and interaction with the client and/or their various representatives.
- Selecting and managing the proper experts in accordance with departmental protocols to develop and execute on a strategy to resolve assigned claims.
- Keep the underwriting and global claims team current on loss trends and market intelligence. Additionally, you will be expected to provide relevant loss information on claims responsible for driving loss development on your assigned accounts.
- As part of the Global Endurance Claims Team, you will be expected to contribute to the success of the team by working closely with your colleagues worldwide on various projects as directed by the Chief Claims Officer. This may include attending various industry conferences and assisting other offices on complex claims.
- You will be asked to communicate with underwriting and other functional groups within the organization
- Manage and maintain active claim files in an electronic claim system, including the posting of reserves, payments, and recoveries.
- Prepare and publish Large Loss and Reinsurance reports
- Some travel is required
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Property Claims Adjuster or Examiner
- Property claims experience with a frequency driven book is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred
- Strong knowledge of ISO and broker manuscript property forms is a must
- Experience handling market quota-share shared and layered, and excess claims.
- Insurance related professional designations/education such as CPCU, ARM & SCLA is a plus
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Candidates may be asked to provide writing samples
- Analytical, decision making and resource management skills with attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to providing superior client service
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and various in-house claims systems –Guidewire is a plus)
- Current valid adjuster license: Multiple state adjuster licenses are a plus
