Our Project Engineer is primarily responsible for the following:

• Assist the Project Manager in scheduling, expediting material deliveries, and all inventory management
• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with all project related functions including preparation of purchase orders, scopes of work and contracts
• Provide shared duties with the Superintendent for job site coverage
• Responsible for document management in Procore
• Manage all 3rd party testing: scheduling, reporting, responses
• Aide in the creation of daily reports and other daily site management tasks
• Daily safety observations and review of all subcontractor work activities for compliance with Sterling’s safety program
• Assist the Project Manager in the preparation and tracking monthly billings, Change Orders, RFI’s, schedule, submittals, closeout reports, open issues, and other reports as assigned
• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in conducting all meetings
• Distribute amendments to drawings and specifications from the architect or engineer to all subcontractors/suppliers
• Perform estimates from civil, architectural, and landscape drawings as needed
• Led by the Assistant Vice President Construction
• Perform all the above and all other duties as assigned in accordance with applicable laws and company policies

Don’t sell yourself short. Our Project Manager must have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Construction Technology preferred, Associates in Construction Technology required
• Minimum 1-3 years’ construction experience
• Must possess the ability to read and understand blueprints and project specifications and work with hand tools when necessary
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent mathematical skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows environment including a working knowledge of Excel, Word, Microsoft Projects
• Willingness to work the necessary hours to get the job done
• Experience with Procore and AutoCAD is a plus
• Spanish speaking is a plus
• OSHA 10 Hour card is preferred
