Programming Coordinator/Operations Liaison

General Job Description:

Weigel Broadcasting is looking for someone who is computer and tech savvy for a Programming Coordinator/Operations Liaison position. With over 1,600 hours of programming a week, the programming Coordinator will back up a team that handles WCIU, ABC57, CBS58, among others stations in Chicago, Milwaukee, and South Bend, Ind. The ability to multitask and pay attention to detail is a must. Based in Chicago, this full-time position will include, but not limited to screening paid and religious programs, working within Storer Information Management Systems (SIMS), working within Microsoft Excel, Documents, and PowerPoint, Google Sheets, Forms, and Docs.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications or equivalent experience is a plus.

Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and Google Docs.

Proven self-starter editor who possesses excellent communication skills and values accuracy and timeliness.

Aptitude and curiosity: someone who wants to learn more, has demonstrated skill growth and is relentlessly self-improving.

A demonstrated passion for pop-culture, television programming knowledge, and emerging digital platforms.

A team player who makes others successful.

Advanced knowledge of television programming a plus.
