We are proud to partner with the State of California, CalFire, AlertWildfire, and other large corporations that are involved in providing both prevention and response technology for California wildfire emergencies. Job Summary:

The Programmer is responsible for designing, programming, and troubleshooting the organization's websites and related applications.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates across departments to identify and understand new website and application development needs.
  • Plans, executes, and facilitates website and application development projects in accordance with specifications, budget, and timeline.
  • Develops and oversees implementation of websites and applications, coordinates site and application functionality with organization's content management system.
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves site and application issues; recommends and implements preventive measures to avoid future problems.
  • Collaborates with security and compliance employees to ensure site security.
  • Provides on-call support to support service level agreements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 1-3 years experience with web development required including: experience using Linux CLIexperience coding responsive front-ends with HTML5, CSS3, experience coding with Javascript, experience coding with PHP experience writing queries with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL)
  • A plus but not required: writing formatting output to .txt, .csv, .kml, or email experience with AJAX, HTML5 Canvas, classes jQuery, Bootstrap, Moustache/Handlebars, git, unit tests, service workers, or sockets

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or 3 years of related experience.
  • Technical certifications, certificate programs, and/or higher-level training are highly desired.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
