Overview:

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Programmer Analyst I. Primary Function: design, develop, test, analyze, debug, and implement custom software solutions to meet the organization's needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with end users to determine program requirements and develops specifications for the program or application.
  • Designs programs and applications from business user specifications using multiple programming languages.
  • Test the programming code to eliminate errors and ensure the program integrates correctly with the application.
  • Modifies and enhances existing programming code based on user-requested changes and organizational changes.
  • Performs code reviews for other programmers within the organization.
  • Serves as a team member on Credit Union projects, as required.
  • Adhere to established Information Technology application development guidelines for source code documentation, security, and design.
  • Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development, including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA), and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate in Credit Union teams, projects, and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and particular tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or at least two years equivalent experience for each undergraduate year not completed; the undergraduate degree cannot substitute or requires a minimum number of years of experience in Information Systems or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 3 Years experience in application development required.
  • Previous experience with multiple programming languages, including C# and Python.
  • Previous experience with HTML and Javascript.
  • Nice to have: exposure to Jack Henry Symitar PowerOn programming.
  • Nice to have: previous experience with ASP.NET development and SQL.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
