ROLE

ESM is looking for a Digital Programmatic Trader to join our growing team of digital media experts, strategists, buyers, and content developers. You’ll be a part of a highly talented agency with exceptional leadership, and niche media experts.


The Digital Programmatic Trader is responsible for day-to-day setup, monitoring, management, and optimization of campaigns across programmatic buying platforms. This person will collaborate with members across the Account Management, Client Services, and Analytics teams to reach campaign KPI goals. The Digital Programmatic Trader should have experience working within The Trade Desk to actively manage major client campaigns. We are looking for a results-driven, detail- and numbers-oriented individual, who is able to solve problems creatively and analytically. The ideal candidate will be able to execute and optimize programmatic display/video/mobile campaigns across multiple platforms.


Job Duties

  • Lead programmatic media buys across various networks and owns day-to-day campaign launches in Demand Side Platforms (DSPs).
  • Set-up and manage campaigns in Demand-side platform (DSPs); preferred experience in The Trade Desk.
  • Perform ad trafficking in DCM for programmatic buys.
  • Continually evaluate Programmatic strategies on all accounts, identifying and testing account growth opportunities.
  • Provide regular campaign updates and needs to the Account Management and Client Services teams.
  • Work closely with the Account Management, Client Services, and Analytics teams for all tagging and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and grow relationships with vendors that offer digital media solutions.
  • Assist internal teams with optimizing and monitoring budgets/bids by tactic in demand-side platforms.
  • Analyze verification data to improve the quality of impressions purchased.
  • Work with our leadership team on private marketplace and direct deal strategy.
  • Proactively monitor campaign activity for delivery, ad quality, and performance.
  • Facilitate new and existing media vendor relationships and lead set up of vendor connections including: sit-down meetings, phone calls, and webinars.
  • Researching ad spaces and prices, comparing and negotiating rates to fit the project scope.
  • Maintain knowledge of ad technology buying platforms and analytics tools
  • Assist in the evaluation of new tools, opportunities, and enhancements in the programmatic space
  • Providing ongoing, timely internal updates regarding managed campaigns.
  • Managing time effectively to meet client expectations.
  • Troubleshoot any technical and performance issues.
  • Also responsible for other duties as assigned, such as pulling ad hoc reports or supporting special projects.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience within the field of programmatic media buying and campaign management in mobile advertising, with experience working on The Trade Desk required. Experience with Roku, DV360, Amazon DSP is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of third party ad serving technology, digital analytics tools, and reporting with real-time bidding experience.
  • Solid understanding of the digital media industry.
  • Ability to prioritize and triage workflow according to the team and company's growing needs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and resourceful with no reservations about tackling a tough problem.
  • Possess strong communication, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Must be proficient, intermediate level, with Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Programmatic experience across display, mobile, audio, OOH, television.
  • Education - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Statistics, Finance, or Economics preferred

Preferred

  • Experience working on any of the following DSPs: Doubleclick Bid Manager, Appnexus, or Dataxu.
  • Biddable media buying on social, native, search and other self-serve ad platforms is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong skill set in data analysis and mathematics, with deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
