GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision and according to general policies and procedures, performs a variety of food distribution and skilled administrative duties directly related to Food Basket program activities. These duties include supporting daily Meals On Wheels operations, preparing client groceries for pick-up and delivery, rotating and stocking perishable and non-perishable food, working closely with volunteers, data entry, delivering meals as needed, and providing excellent service to clients of The Health Trust.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
FOOD BASKET:
- Supports day-to-day client and grocery operations at the Food Basket, including site preparation, grocery distribution, and clean-up.
- Prepares for grocery pick-up before distribution.
- Provides information and/or volunteer opportunities to potential and existing clients, staff, volunteers, and the public.
- Pick-up supplies as assigned
- Receives, sorts, and stores large volumes of produce, dairy, meat, and dry food goods.
- Cleans and prepares vegetables and other food items as needed. Disposes of produce and other food items according to health regulations.
- Records temperatures of freezers and refrigerators daily.
- All other duties as assigned by the Food Basket Manager.
MEALS ON WHEELS:
- Receives meals from vendor and ensures count and delivery is accurate.
- Prepares meals for route pick-up and pack-out process by warming food and preparing food delivery packs for drivers.
- Ensures refrigerators and freezers are kept in compliance for general cleanliness and upkeep according to stated procedures.
- Maintains appropriate tracking of Meals On Wheels clients for data reporting and accurately maintains ServTracker database, SalesForce databases, Microsoft Office files, and Google Docs as needed.
- Delivers meals as needed.
GENERAL OFFICE/CLERICAL DUTIES:
- General office duties including copying, scanning, filing, word-processing, check-request processing, organizing files, sending reports, and maintaining office supply inventory.
- Helps maintain accurate inventory of goods and services through timely purchasing and receiving procedures.
- Accurately utilizes FedEx and off-site storage procedures or other mailing and/or delivery needs.
- Updates and maintains client database information as needed.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree. Associate Degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year administrative and/or warehouse experience.
- ServSafe certified with basic knowledge of safe food handling and storage preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
- Experience in customer service.

- Ability to execute food and supply inventory, purchasing, and receiving procedures.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Warehouse/office atmosphere.
- Automobile available for daily use, car insurance as required by the State of California, and a valid California driver license.
- Acceptable driving record
- Occasional travel between two site locations, as well as driving as needed for Meals On Wheels route delivery.
- Garland Avenue Location: Warehouse environment with minor exposure to noise, dust, temperature and the like.
- Newberry Drive location: Office environment, may perform repetitive motion activities, sitting for long periods of time.
- Local travel required.
- Regular or daily lifting up to 30 pounds, bending, reaching and standing.
- Hours are flexible and may change weekly; may be required to arrive by 7:30 a.m.; weekend work may be required occasionally.
