The Program Analyst will support the implementation of various programs for ICANN's Global Domains and Strategy (GDS) function. This includes the monitoring and coordination of cross departmental tasks as well as the execution of specific tasks to further the goals of the program.
This individual will also work under the supervision of the Director, Strategic Initiatives to execute tasks in support of GDS Programs, with a strong focus on the New gTLD Program Subsequent Procedures and related activities and programs.
The program analyst may lead small or less complex projects from initiation to successful delivery. This includes coordinating efforts of project team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
This position requires an understanding of project lifecycles and continuous development of subject matter expertise within assigned areas.
This role will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally to execute various activities including data collection and analysis of assigned topics to propose potential solutions or possible approaches.**

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Supports programs or projects of diverse scope for ICANN's Global Domains & Strategy function.
- Support Director, Strategic Initiatives in strategic decision-making for new projects and initiatives
- Support Director, Strategic Initiatives in analysis and development of detailed implementation plans for policy recommendations and advice
- Complete tasks for implementation of programs or projects requiring collection, analysis, and synthesis of multiple sources of information.
- Provide focused project support, including tracking and coordinating project teamwork and schedules, including use of organizational management software tools, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on status updates, problem-solving and issue resolution.
- Complete project deliverables on time in adherence to project schedule and management direction, prioritizing and escalating issues to the project manager or supervisor in a timely manner.
- Assist in coordinating major project elements including but not limited to: issue identification and resolution; establishing rationale for decisions; feasibility and advisability analysis; implementation activities; gathering status and adjusting project schedules as necessary; preparing reports and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Design and prepare formal reports and publications to inform senior management and external stakeholders of status and assume responsibility for quality and timing of delivery of reports.
- Assist Director, Strategic Initiatives in management of vendors to ensure that project deliverables meet quality and timeliness expectations.

- Effectively apply project management methodology and execute project plans, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Apply critical thinking and good business judgement to assess sources and relevance of information and inputs.
- Digest and summarize large amounts of hard-to-find or unfamiliar information in a short amount of time.
- Fluent written and spoken in English is required; at least one additional language at business competency level is strongly desired.
- Manage and coordinate program and project meetings and activities
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a business or nonprofit environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in any of the following areas preferred: Domain Name Industry, Technical Writing, Research, Data Analysis, Operations, Project Management, Product Management, Implementation Management, Finance, Vendor Management, and Legal.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
- The employee regularly is required to sit.
- The employee is frequently required to talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and to reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Work location can be one of our ICANN offices, including Los Angeles, Brussels, D.C., and Istanbul - with the possibility of offsite meetings or travel as relevant to job responsibilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
