The Brauns-Oudenhoven-Boustany/BORSF Eminent Scholar Endowed Chair in Innovation and Entrepreneurship includes a reduced teaching load, competitive salary, a summer salary stipend, and a research and travel stipend.

The Chair is expected to pursue continuing research and scholarship commensurate with the position and provide leadership in the intellectual development of the faculty of the Moody S
The chair will collaborate with University centers that directly assist new and established small and medium sized enterprises, with regional and economic development organizations and non-profit organizations.
The Chair will be charged with leading a comprehensive effort to advance research, teaching and curriculum development related to innovation and entrepreneurship, provide exceptional teaching and assist in recruiting high quality students.
The Chair is expected to be heavily involved in the establishment of the student innovation and entrepreneurship “thinktank” to be located in F.G. Mouton.
The Chair will be involved in the eventual creation of a BSBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:

The applicant must (1) possess an earned doctorate in Entrepreneurship, Management or closely related discipline; (2) demonstrate an active research stream and publication record in top-tier journals in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, or strategic management; (3) have the ability to coordinate research efforts of the College in entrepreneurship; (4) have a history of high-quality teaching in innovation, entrepreneurship, or strategic management, preferably at an AACSB-accredited business school; (5) have a history of innovative course development and delivery skills at the undergraduate and graduate level; (6) demonstrate leadership and active engagement with entrepreneurship professionals and academics.



Desired Characteristics:

The ideal candidate will be recognized nationally for research in innovation and entrepreneurship and must have an active program of high impact research and teaching in an area of innovation and/or entrepreneurship that merits appointment at the rank of Professor.
Strong applicants will have experience in leading and/or developing innovation and/or entrepreneurship programs, a record of community engagement and collaboration, and a vision for future program development.
Furthermore, expertise in forming or working within a university innovation and/or entrepreneurship center will strengthen the applicant’s credentials.
