Must Be able to work any shift! (Shift premium will be paid for night shift)
Essential Purpose:
To achieve and maintain high quality magnet wire manufacturing operations consistent with the control plan as well as with plant and division goals and objectives.
Essential Duties:
- Able to learn all aspects of operations in the magnet wire production process to include a
thorough knowledge of the control plan and an ability to teach and implement everything in the
control plan.
- Able to stand and work for 11 hours of the 12 hour shift.
- Climb ladders and stairs and work on platforms at various heights in an environment that has
temperatures as high as 130 degrees in the summer.
- Work with organic solvents (phenol, cresylic acid, zylene, etc.)
- Work successfully in a self-directed team environment.
- Hand, eye coordination and depth perception.
- Normal range of hearing and sight and able to communicate intelligible by voice in this
manufacturing environment.
- All employees will help maintain a safe workplace by being accountable to anticipate, recognize
and report any potential workplace hazards, by attending required safety training and by following
all safety rules. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
Skills and Requirements:
Actively participate and contribute to the team's activities. Must actively work toward mastering all of the operations in the magnet wire production process and anticipate actions needed and react without being told. Must remain focused on achieving established goals. Must be able to work 12 hour shifts.
Education:
High School diploma or GED. Must be able to work with mathematical concepts, read at the 12th grade level and write legibly.
