Calling all Night Shift Workers - we are hiring on our overnight team.
Conagra's Waterloo Facility, also known as "The Pudding Plant", has been around for over 25 years and is looking for people to join our growing team.
Job Details:
Schedule: 7pm - 7am | Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday - Sunday; Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday
Starting Pay: $24.30 - 26.40 per hour depending on previous experience
$1,000 sign-on bonus
Earn additional $'s through shift differential for joining our overnight team.
You will receive a Complete Benefits Package - including paid time off within your first year.
You will oversee the production processes in the manufacturing of Conagra Foods. This may include working in any production area. The Production Technician I is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment in the assigned production area while following all quality standards. You will report to Team Leads and Line Leads.
Essential Functions:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures within the assigned work area.
- Perform product checks to verify quality measures.
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain assigned equipment.
- Complete equipment sanitation.
- Follow all safety requirements and guidelines.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly equipment inspections and maintenance tasks.
- Understand and apply concepts in technical vendor manuals.
- Use a variety of hand and powered tools
- Communicate any safety, quality or operational issues to the appropriate resources.
- Maintain a clean work area and follow all 5S requirements.
- Operate Forklift and Scissor lift
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- One year of experience in a manufacturing facility with food production
- Experience with mechanical concepts
Work Environment Requirements:
- You will work in a manufacturing environment with varying conditions including moderate noise levels.
- move within office and manufacturing facilities, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.
- You will communicate by speech and hearing by phone and in person.
- Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.
- General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
