The candidate shall perform technician duties, utilizing a broad knowledge of electronic equipment principles, techniques, and a thorough knowledge of digital and analog circuitry.
The candidate shall perform technician duties, utilizing a broad knowledge of electronic equipment principles, techniques, and a thorough knowledge of digital and analog circuitry.
The contractor shall provide for component diagnostics, repair, and functional check-out for electronic and electromechanical assets.
The contractor shall provide for bench stock management for all bench stock-type items needed for component repair.
The contractor shall maintain work-center and individual safety requirements.
The contractor shall conduct operations and acceptance testing of materials collection equipment.
The contractor shall provide recommendations for suitable substitute parts, system upgrades, alternate suppliers, and configuration changes in response to part obsolescence, loss of suppliers, quality deficiency reports, and technology changes affecting the availability of items or commercial repair services.
The contractor shall use, maintain and manage shop test measurement diagnostic equipment in accordance with the established Precision Measurement Equipment Lab (PMEL) policy. Technical experience should include, but not be limited to: installation, integration, upgrade, modification, repair, deficiency investigation, and operational checks.
The contractor may work with civilian engineers and military technicians, or may work independently as needed. Familiarity with one or more TAP mission systems (Automatic Cryogenic Rectifier, Advanced Automatic Cryogenic Rectifier, Automated Ground Filter Unit, Advanced Atmospheric Research Equipment) is desired.
Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) with Solidworks and ProEngineer/Creo experience is desired, but not required.
The contractor may be required to be on their feet for a lengthy amount of time and able to lift/carry items 50lbs or less.
Travel to provide support for TAP systems as required.

Will be required to physically move equipment with a forklift, for which they must be properly trained and licensed.
The contractor will be granted a 60-day grace period to obtain the required license.
