About the role: Our biotechnology group is seeking a highly motivated Production Supervisor who will oversee the daily operations of the Quality Assurance and Packing department with the day-to-day production operations. This person will learn all the processes of operation of packing and shipping and quality assurance, as well as overseeing training of new employees, in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Operating Procedures.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and direct daily tasks for employees in packing and quality assurance, Monitor attendance and adherence to safe working conditions.
- Train employees in Standard Operation Procedures and Safety Operation Procedures for efficient work methods.
- Oversee that all customer orders are filled accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage the quality and quantity of inventory of all finished products in incubation rooms and product coolers.
- Oversee all products packed, loaded, and shipped to ensure standard procedures are followed.
- Participate in product or process testing that is in line with QA/QC responsibilities.
- Attending weekly production meetings.
- Assist in maintaining and upgrading laboratory materials and equipment.
- Oversee and assist with the monthly inventory of materials and supplies for ordering purposes.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 supervisory experience.
- 2-3 years quality assurance / quality control experience
- English/Spanish Bilingual.
- Bachelor of Science degree desired but not required.
