Unitex is experiencing unprecedented growth! Due to this growth, we are in search of a highly skilled Production / Department Supervisor for our facility in New Brunswick, NJ (10B).
Schedule is a 5 day work week which will include weekend days. Please do not apply if you cannot work on the weekends.
At Unitex, Production/Department Supervisors are responsible for:
- Maintaining a safe environment by participating on plant safety team, training new team members on all safety policies and procedures and holding team members accountable for any unsafe actions.
- Supervises production activities to meet requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Developing a team of up to 25 team members through coaching, training, managing and disciplinary process.
- Hold team members accountable for meeting daily requirements by coaching, developing and positive reinforcement.
- Updating reports based on the daily productivity of their department.
- Train all new team members on job functions, equipment and daily requirements.
- Approving weekly department payroll.
Required Skills:
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
- 5+ years of supervisory experience; manufacturing supervision a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for managing people.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Solid work ethic.
