Job description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities, training and development of production personnel throughout their focus factory. The supervisor is fully responsible for the production team assigned to them and is in charge of safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity in his/her designated area. The supervisor will also execute the companies polices practices and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads and works with their team to ensure safety, productivity, quality and OTD targets of work cells using lean manufacturing tools provided (ex. SW, DM and FMP)
Communicates delivery and lead time information with sales.
Procurement of manufacturing tools and supplies for work cells.
Schedule appropriate resources for daily orders
Conduct training with associates to ensure work force flexibility.
Responsible for working with the purchasing team members to control inventory in assigned cells including overseeing cycle counts, ensuring KanBan process is working properly and driving discrepancies to root cause.

Develop associate career growth using lean manufacturing principals like kaizen events
Solve quality issues using the PSP toolset with a demonstrated ability to perform excellent root cause investigations.
Perform associate assessments during the review process and empower your team to meet objectives and development plans throughout the year.

Required Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in management/Manufacturing Engineering/related field or 3+ years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to follow verbal and written procedures in English and interpret bill of material prints.
Excellent math skills and good written/verbal communication.
Computer skills: Oracle (JDE), Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook and ADP.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. on occasion as required.

Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required
