ALK Abello’ Source Materials, Inc., (ASM) a leading manufacturer of quality allergenic biological source materials, and a member of the global ALK-Abello’ group of companies, is recruiting for our open Production Supervisor position. Join our stable and growing company and provide leadership and expertise to our workforce located in our 120,000 square foot facility in Post Falls, ID.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing portions of the company’s Production facilities, including establishing inventory controls, processing, storage, equipment uptime, and meeting delivery schedules. The position also requires effective management of employees and ensures capacity is utilized efficiently. This includes effective scheduling of employees and production processes, ensuring all personnel are trained to perform their functions effectively, and providing performance feedback to employees in a timely fashion, including annual performance reviews. Other duties include, working to develop an annual budget and managing expenses to plan, working with the Quality organization to ensure product release and production processes are in compliance with regulations, investigating deviations, reviewing batch records before release of product, and ensuring all operations within the production organization follow applicable SOPs.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in a relevant field and 5-8 years of experience working in a controlled process manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated working knowledge of Regulatory requirements and procedures; i.e., (CFRs, GMP, FDA, OSHA, and European Authority) is preferred. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma continuous improvement methodologies is also preferred. Excellent communication skills and success managing others in a production environment are a must. Experience with SAP is a plus.

All positions at ASM require the ability to comfortably work around deceased, stinging insects, allergenic antigens, hazardous chemicals and solvents and laboratory reagents.
