This Opportunity
Fully responsible and accountable for the critical functions, processes, and procedures of plant operations to include: production and quality of product, receiving, inspecting, repairing, inventory, shipping, continuous improvement, operational fiscal accountability, customer service delivery, administration and compliance of human resources and employee relations, and equipment and technology needs.
Your Impact
- Develop and foster a partnership with our customer & facility partner managing the facility to comply and exceed customer standards and SOPs
- Drive daily communications between the plant and customer through multiple modes of communication
- Ensure focus in day to day operations to include but not limited to quality and on-time
- Full ownership for plant operation’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Drive process improvement across all aspects of the operations
- Ensure that inventory reporting and audit processes are in place and adhered to
- Assure accurate, timely and proper receiving and shipping of product
- Monitor and drive employee safety
- Ensure facility sanitation and cleanliness
- Monitor and maintain risk management and loss control
- Track and manage costs and expenses
- Function successfully in both warehouse and corporate environments
- Schedule personnel based on client needs and schedule
- Create and transmit data and various reports
- Audit daily labor reports
- Oversee all human resources matters to include recruitment, training, file maintenance, confidentiality, conflict management, progressive discipline, documentation, workers’ compensation, and state and federal compliance requirements
- Other duties as deemed relevant and necessary
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of operations management experience in a production line environment
- Self-starter who is able to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and foster relationships across all functions
- Proven track record in managing employee relations and human resources matters
- Strong ability to make decisions, problem-solve, prioritize assignments and direct the workforce in an ever-changing warehouse
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Ability to quickly develop and execute plans in an ever changing environment of priorities
- Knowledgeable of Microsoft office programs including MS Word and Excel
- Ability to acquire working knowledge of customer technology and/or other industry-specific systems
- Experience with heavy warehouse equipment is preferred
