As key members of the Supply Chain organization, our Production Planners are responsible for shaping Trillium's overall success through our pre-planning, planning, and production processes. This is a high visibility role with significant opportunity to effect how we succeed. Our Production Planners perform a variety of critical duties alongside Sales, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Customer Operations, and Production to deliver the highest quality products on time to our Customers. Our Production Planners plan the work so the rest of our team can work the plan.
A successful candidate will be highly organized, proactive, embody an analytical mindset and a keen eye for inefficiency. You will continuously look for creative ways to address challenges faced throughout our processes and develop solutions to meet the needs of our Customers and Company. Your ability to learn our products and proficiency planning or scheduling industrial equipment through a production facility allows you to generate detailed production schedules and provide accurate forecasts to the cross-functional team. You will develop strong professional working relationships with your colleagues, suppliers, and our Customers.

Primary Responsibilities
As a Production Planner, you will:
- Be responsible for all planning activities and performance of your assigned value stream
- Coordinate and communicate with the cross-functional teams to meet safety, quality, and on-time delivery targets
- Align with Purchasing to track material status and on-time delivery in preparation for production
- Balance work center loading, material availability and capacity plan
- Ensure routing accuracy prior to release to manufacture or subcontract
- Update and maintain planning parameters and forecasts for products within your assigned value stream
- Adjust production plan as necessary, considering shop loading, material availability, machinery, capacity constraints
- Release planned manufacturing orders to the shop floor and subcontract manufacturers on time and according to master schedule
- Process, monitor and expedite purchase orders for subcontract manufacturers
- Walk shop floor daily to monitor material movement as it progresses through the production cycle, removing obstacles, conflicts, bottlenecks, and opportunities for delay
- Expedite delays with other departments – Sales, Engineering, Customer Operations, Production and Quality Assurance – and subcontract manufacturers, as required
- Develop methods to improve our planning strategies and tactics to further gain efficiencies in our processes, reduce lead time and eliminate non-value-added activities
- Complete additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years Planning, Materials Management or Supply Chain experience required
- Applied experience using ERP systems
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and computer skills, proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
- Experience or familiarity with ASTM, or ASME related products
- APICS CPIM Certification a differentiating plus
Desired Characteristics
- Ability to interpret written or verbal technical information (engineering drawings, bills of material, and specifications) and determine disassembly and reassembly process steps
- Clear capability to professionally and patiently communicate and present technical information orally and in written format with internal Company stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot challenges with mechanical and industrial equipment and propose technical solutions and modifications
- Excellent communicating, organizational and computer skills
- MS Office proficiency is critical
Work Environment
- Monday through Friday, day shift
- Must be comfortable working on site in a hybrid environment – office and production facility
- After-hours and weekend work may be required to support Customers during emergent, rush basis site activities including Customer plant outages. This is typically limited and primarily during Spring and Fall Customer outage seasons
