Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for the production of the facility ensuring a balance between safety, quality, cost, and service. The Production Manager will provide leadership and guidance to all hourly production team members and a team of salaried supervisors. The Production Manager will follow through on set programs and ensure adherence to compliance in all people and food safety requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain plant safety standard. Ensure safety policies are followed. Actively seek out potential safety issues and correct. Investigate any safety incidents.
• Maintain all plant quality and sanitation standards.
• Work closely with all departments to ensure smooth operations in all business departments are achieved
• Plan upcoming production runs in conjunction with sales team
• Report daily production and labor costs
• Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to the team members
• Set production standards based on labor, efficiency, and product
• Determine appropriate employee staffing per department
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
• Submit reports on performance and progress
• Oversee coaching and development of team members
• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement; ensure employee engagement in all improvement initiatives.
• Set goals and training for employee to reach maximum efficiency
• Work with scheduler/Quality manager to ensure all shipments are compliant and on time
• Set production schedule for all departments

Plant ManagerQualifications/Competencies:

• Prior management experience in a manufacturing environment experience, preferably in a food industry
• Math skills required
• Detailed Orientated
• Strong analytic aptitude
• Strong Organizational skills
• Able to balance and maintain multiple priorities concurrently
• Experience using Microsoft Office products
• Prior ERP experience preferred

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
