Atlas Molded Products is seeking Production Associate - Material Handler for the Byron Center, MI facility.

We are currently recruiting for:
1st Shift ($18/hr)
2nd Shift ($18/hr plus $0.75 differential)
3rd Shift ($18/hr plus $1.00 differential)
Production Associate Primary Responsibilities

• General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
• Verify shipping and receiving of all materials. Inspect and package parts according to specification pages and record required information on in-process sheets.
• Maintain productivity standards and verify all job requirements of the final products with the correct density, material, weight, size, and shape within given quality tolerance to meet specific job requirements.
• Verify equipment set-up throughout the process; operate and power down manufacturing
• Operate or assist with machinery such as, but not limited to hauling, wrapping, sanding, and printing equipment.
• Cut, bundle, wrap, stack, pack, assemble and label materials per specific production instructions.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate Pre-breakers / Re-Grinding equipment to recycle EPS.
• Perform any other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
• Must be trained and familiar with general safety.
• Must be trained and familiar with Quality System Awareness.
• Must be verified by supervisor and be signed off on procedures needed to fulfill job requirements within 2 months of hire.
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.

Production Associate Experience

• Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment helpful.

Production Associate Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to write and speak English for safety and quality purposes.
• Knowledge of, or ability to learn and use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools such as a tape measure.
• Must be able to lift, push, carry minimum 50 lbs.

Production Associate Education, Licenses & Certifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred.
