ACTIA Corporation has been manufacturing quality vehicle electronics and diagnostic equipment for growing markets such as Off-Highway, Bus & Coach, Truck & Fleet, Marine and Specialty Vehicles for over 30 years. ACTIA Group is an international group based in Toulouse, France.

We are currently looking for a Production Administrator to join our team in Elkhart, IN. The Production Administrator plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer deliver dates.

Job Specific Competencies:

Planning

Issues manufacturing production work orders
Tracks and allocates all sub-assembly work orders
Reports part shortages in physical or Visual inventory to management
Process planning reports
Analyze production schedule and releases work orders to shop floor per customer requirements
Ensures proper workflow through coordinating production schedule with assistant coordinators/supervisors
Responsible to ensure work orders are release timely and accurately

Red Cell

Works from complex assembly drawings, cut-lists, and work instructions that are typically contained within the “red cell packet”
Initiate “Red Cell Check Sheet”
Inspects print for errors, identifies and documents for correction, per process
Reviews B.O.M.
Maintains the Red Cell Check Sheet Log

Collaboration

Communicates and works with Manufacturing Supervisor, Coordinators and Warehouse personnel to maintain proper workflow
Collaborates with Manufacturing Engineers for Certificate of Conformance and ICAR audit requirements
Collaborates with Sales to assist with customer needs
Collaborates with other departments as needed
Collaborates with all departments to ensure customer request are met
Collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Manufacturing as necessary to process E.C.N. and reworks documentation

Legal Compliance

Ensure legal compliance with state, federal and OSHA requirements
Ensure ISO procedures are followed
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications and Education

  • High School Diploma/GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Experience with Visual Manufacturing software or willingness to learn
  • Familiarity with ISO Quality systems and standards preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite or similar systems preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) required

Working Conditions

Movement

  • This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and on the production floor. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Operate/Use

  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e. copier, printer, calculator)

Ascend/Descend

  • Rarely ascends/descends stairs to reach archived files

Communicate

  • This position frequently communicates with co-workers, managers and supervisors. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Transport

  • This position frequently lifts or moves 25 pounds, occasionally moves up to 50 pounds for various needs.

Work Environment

  • Relatively quiet but fast paced.

Travel

  • Onsite work only.
