Cvent is a leading meetings, events and hospitality technology provider with more than 4,700 employees and nearly 21,000 customers worldwide. Founded in 1999, the company delivers a comprehensive event marketing and management platform for event professionals and offers software solutions to hotels, special event venues and destinations to help them grow their group/MICE and corporate travel business.
The DNA of Cvent is our people, and our culture has an emphasis on fostering intrapreneurship - a system that encourages Cventers to think and act like individual entrepreneurs and empowers them to take action, embrace risk, and make decisions as if they had founded the company themselves. We foster an environment that promotes agility, which means we don't have the luxury to wait for perfection. At Cvent, we value the divers perspectives that each individual brings. Whether working with a team of colleagues or with clients, we ensure that we foster a culture that celebrates differences and builds on shared connections.
In This Role, You Will::

  • Empathize with our users to design an efficient and enjoyable end-to-end process
  • Take the experience of our products to the next level through collaboration with user researchers, product managers, developers, and stakeholders
  • Create a UX design brief with the goals and direction of each project
  • Participate in, and learn to lead, design thinking workshops and brainstorming sessions
  • Make design recommendations based on user research and product analytics
  • Gather feedback and iterate on multiple designs as you work toward a final version
  • Create information hierarchies, workflows, wireframes, hi-fidelity mockups, and prototypes
  • Design intuitive, modern, accessible products
  • Understand how Cvent’s products fit together in a wholistic design ecosystem
  • Annotate designs and work with engineers to implement designs as intended
  • Be a storyteller as you present your work to team members, leadership, and stakeholders
Here's What You Need::

  • Design experience with a focus on software applications
  • An eye for good visual design and visual layout
  • A portfolio that shows off your design skills and design thinking for each project
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and design techniques
  • Not afraid to do your own research, and change techniques if your approach doesn’t work
  • Practical understanding of design systems and accessibility beyond the UI
  • Expertise in professional design and prototyping tools
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JS (bonus points for front-end coding experience)
  • Ability and desire to apply creativity to a variety of projects
  • Sharp critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work alone and with others, managing personal and project timelines
  • Confidence to take criticism productively and defend your designs when necessary
  • Ability to see the big picture, but also pay attention to the details
