Product Designers are strategic partners to Engineering, Product Management and Analytics. In partnership with the broader team, they help define the user-facing experiences our users encounter on Rockbot products, then translate that thinking into a complete experience that can be tested, shipped, and refined. They are responsible for creating well-functioning and beautiful products and experiences that users love and are eager to recommend to others.

You will:

• Design, prototype, and build flows and experiences that are simple and easy to use for Rockbot's products, or applications
• Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our customers
• Design web and mobile workflows and user experiences that are adaptable to users' changing needs
• Utilize a full range of product, interaction, and visual design skills to seek out creative, design-led solutions to challenging problems
• Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise the bar for quality
• Work alongside cross functional teams to ensure the feasibility of the design and functionality with the necessary level of finesse
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and analysts to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch
• Provide additional post-launch design support to maximize continued efficiency in a constantly evolving environment

You have:

• 6+ years of product design experience with a background in Human-Centered Design, or a related field. Position requires completion of a university-level course, research project, or internship with exposure to building and shipping applications or software at the level of whole features or products across a variety of platforms
• Interaction design, including defining how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs
• Prototyping skills to demonstrate how a particular flow or interaction will work
• Visual design, including typography, desktop or mobile user interface, color, layout, iconography and aesthetic sense how these elements impact product function
• Strategic product thinking with the ability to understand product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to internal and external users
• Creating user flows, mockups, product specifications and user experiences to articulate design concepts
• Understanding and interpreting user research and usability testing
• Conducting end to end design process across multiple projects including interaction and visual design artifacts and high-fidelity prototypes

Rockbot takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location in the U.S. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

The compensation band for this role is $120K to $160K, plus equity, and benefits for all team members.
