Providing an unmatched global network of payout corridors and payment options, superior technology that can be implemented much faster and more economically than most typical solutions, and backed by an in-house team of global payments experts, Brightwell offers the best solution when it comes to managing and moving money around the globe.

Who We Need:

We’re searching for a Product Designer to join our crew! As our ideal Product Designer, you will quickly learn that our users take center stage and will use a hands-on, user-centric approach to shape the features and user interfaces that our customers use every day. We are looking for someone who can help to shape the experience of our product for our users around the globe. You’ll spend your time talking to users, working with engineers and product managers, and rapidly designing and iterating on mockups and user flows. Show us your affinity for consistency, color use, typography and all the details by sending us your design portfolio – we’d love to check out what you’ve done!

What You’ll Do:

  • Demonstrate a clear and compelling design sense grounded in empathy and thoughtfulness, putting the user at the forefront of your design thought process.
  • Own the design process on the team from beginning to end: making use of existing research and analytics as well as suggesting new ones; thinking and designing flows, sketches, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups.
  • Exhibit a solid set of design and UX skills, which includes visual and graphic design, information architecture, prototyping, strategic design methods (such as design thinking), user research, and/or writing for a mobile user experience.
  • Transform challenging workflows into simple, usable, and elegant experiences for our users.
  • Act as the user-advocate during the development process, subjecting early-stage designs to usability testing, and offering implementation suggestions from a user-centered perspective.
  • Communicate and own design standards to collectively create a scalable and consistent experience.
  • Speak actively to both the “why” and the “how” of your design decisions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product management and effectively negotiate trade-offs including development frameworks, scalability, and performance.
  • Maintain a high level of industry awareness, monitoring and applying relevant trends.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness) and conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
  • Proactively assess and recommend improvements to the user experience.
  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate all designs.

As a Product Designer, you have:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Design, HCI, Computer Science or similar discipline
  • 5+ years of design experience with an emphasis on UI/UX, and a strong portfolio of enterprise web and mobile design work
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research and data-informed design process
  • Deep knowledge of design for responsive and mobile environments in combination with standards and best practices for iOS, Android, and web
  • Extensive knowledge of interactive design and mobile design best practices (with lots of examples in your book to show)
  • Create and maintain a pattern or component library and help build/maintain the design system
  • A solid foundation in user-centered design methods and the ability to communicate design decisions effectively to senior stakeholders and team members alike.
  • Ability to apply theories related to color schemes, use of space, text placement, usability, and visual flow to create beautiful visual designs.
  • Familiarity and comfort in working with engineers; willingness to learn the technical constraints of implementing certain design principles; comfortable looking “under the hood".

We’ll give you extra credit for:

  • Understanding of the Agile Development process
  • Experience in the FinTech or Payments Industry
  • Experience with SaaS and data heavy interfaces/complex interactions
