Today, we're seeking an enthusiastic, inquisitive, and diligent Producer to join our Stansberry Media team for the Daniela Cambone Show, an interview-focused online show on finance, economics, and contrarian opportunities. As a Producer, you will be responsible for managing the production process from pre-production to post-production, ensuring the highest level of quality and professionalism.


This role is based in our New York office in a hybrid capacity.

Responsibilities:
  • Create, develop, and pitch show segment ideas based on current business objectives and market conditions.
  • Research and book timely and topical guests
  • Watch past shows to brief the host of prior topics and items of interest.
  • Daily monitor the news, financial markets, and our editorial content.
  • Produce all aspects of show, including scheduling, script development, and guest logistics.
  • Work cross-functionally with the marketing and social media teams to promote the show with the goal to increase audience engagement.
  • Build links and vanity URLs for use in marketing and social media campaigns.
  • Collect graphics from design team and ensure correct specifications for Twitter, Facebook, other social media channels and media outlets.
  • Follow-up with guests, post-show, to involve them in publicizing their segment.
  • Ensure that all technical equipment at our New York City studio or remote locations is functioning correctly and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production. This includes cameras, microphones, lighting, teleprompter, and recording software (Riverside). Coordinate with the Baltimore technical team as necessary.
  • Act as a final reviewer for show segments by ensuring graphics, video/sound quality, and related media material are ready to publish.
  • Manage post-production processes with video editing team by delivering feedback and necessary changes.
  • Build and maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with the host, guests, and production team.
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in video production, electronic media, communications, journalism, or related field. Industry experience could be a substitute for degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience producing video content
  • Strong ability to research, write, and share narratives regarding the big ideas that matter in business and finance.
  • Exceptional demonstrated grammar, writing, and editorial skill with a strong eye for detail, a proven track record of professional writing, and familiarity with AP style.
  • Keen interest and curiosity for economics, business, financial markets, and technological advances.
  • Interview ability is a plus, but will not be on camera
  • Deep knowledge of digital media, particularly YouTube, (Apple, Stitcher (Podcast))
  • Experience using SEO keywords to drive online traffic to increase audience engagement and create compelling headlines and content – heavily preferred/open to learn – this is mainly for titles and labels – knowing when to change a title if a video is underperforming (2-3 titles/thumbnails ready to go)
  • Comfortable taking initiative and being both resourceful and entrepreneurial
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with audio and video production equipment and software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to execute under tight production deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to routinely travel to New York City office location.
  • Some national travel required – 5% (10 days out of the year, roughly)
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
  • Visual acuity for reading and using the computer
  • Ability to lift heavy video equipment

  • Ability to freely move about the office

Expected Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
