We are looking for an experienced Category Manager who is searching to use their comprehensive experience in Fresh Produce to bring exciting products and great value to our customers! Do you have experience in Produce packing and distribution? Do you love fruit and vegetables? If so, read on! We may have the role of a lifetime for you!

Trader Joe's is unlike any place you've ever worked. Trust us on that. The qualified Produce Category Manager has at least five years of Category Management experience in Fresh Produce, and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept. A Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred. This role is based in our Boston, MA office.

The Category Manager:

• Has extensive Fresh Produce production and distribution experience.
• "Owns" their category. Follows trends; articulates a strategy and vision for the category, stays informed about vendors, how weather/climate will affect the supply chain and capabilities; follow-up on the quality of inventory in warehouses.
• Offers a tightly edited assortment of products that keep shopping adventurous and fun.
• Is a skillful negotiator who is focused on obtaining the best value for our customers.
• Works collaboratively with other departments.

The Category Manager is:

• Creative and purpose-driven, able to effectively execute ideas.
• Open and approachable.
• Self-guided and able to prioritize.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
• A raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept!
