The Process Writer position requires focused attention to details of high complexity products while establishing and/or optimizing the manufacturing assembly process through the writing of associated work instructions. This role is responsible for providing a standardized approach for implementing various instructions/photos to aid in customer specific assembly processes while achieving the highest quality and efficiency
- Implements ECN’s, PCN’s, and deviations as required.
- Provides review and understanding of customer drawings (dimensioning/tolerances) and instructions.
- Prepares process flows and assembly work instructions as required.
- Develops and ensures manufacturing processes are clear, robust, error proofed, and repeatable.
- Supports New Product Introduction (NPI) activities when establishing work instructions.
Education and Experience for the Process Writer:
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- High School Diploma; minimum of two (2) years of experience in an Electronics/Manufacturing environment
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in an Electronics/Manufacturing environment – preferably in Contract Manufacturing.
- Must possess a solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes (SMT Pick-n-Place, Manual/Auto Insertion, Routing/Depanel, Aqueous Cleaning, AOI, Manual Soldering, etc…) and exposure to various component types (SMT, Through-Hole, Press Fit, etc…).
