Overview:
This individual will be responsible for monitoring and improving the quality of our operational processes and outputs. Will also act as an auditor for all of our internal systems identifying issues and recommending solutions for our certified Quality Management System (QMS). Additional responsibilities include designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes and products, developing quality control systems and determining corrective/preventive actions and their solutions and working with department heads and team leaders to implement quality measures.

new position, in our Quality Department, to build our team.
This individual will be responsible for monitoring and improving the quality of our operational processes and outputs. Will also act as an auditor for all of our internal systems identifying issues and recommending solutions for our certified Quality Management System (QMS). Additional responsibilities include designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes and products, developing quality control systems and determining corrective/preventive actions and their solutions and working with department heads and team leaders to implement quality measures.
The Process Engineer will report to our Director of Quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct improvement projects and develop process improvement tools per APQP, such as control plans, FMEA, process flow, MSA; manage cross functional teams of engineers, manufacturing and/or purchasing personnel as the lead to solve quality problems
- Direct preventive/corrective actions, solutions and improvements as needed based upon identified nonconformances in products and/or processes and poor performance
- Develop and implement quality standards
- Monitor and analyze quality performance
- Update our QMS with fixes and improvements
- Audit our QMS based on relevant, certified standards, such as ISO9001:2015, IATF16949:2016 requirements
- Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes and products to ensure quality specifications are met
- Collaborate with department heads and team leaders to develop and implement controls and improvements
- Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products
- Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues
- Determine quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures
- Monitor the entire production cycle and perform regular tests to identify potential malfunctions as early as possible
- Inspect product materials and electrical systems for defects and durability
- Identify the root of technical issues and recommend fixes
- Prepare reports on defects and corrective actions, such as number of defective raw materials per order
- Review current blueprints and quality documentation
- Set and track quality assurance goals, such as reduce response time on CARs
- Coordinate with external quality assurance auditors and technicians to ensure legal compliance
- Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college; minimum seven years related work experience- Previous work experience as a Process/Quality Engineer or similar role is preferred
- One or more ASQ certification(s), such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), is preferred
- In-depth understanding of technical documentation, such as Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication/presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Solid managerial skills
- Solid statistical analysis ability
- Accuracy and organizational skills with great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to use independent judgment and discretion; must approach situations with unbiased
and mature attitude
