Keystone Powdered Metal Company a world leader in the Powdered Metal Industry has an opening for a Process Engineer at its Lewis Run PA location. Since 1927 Keystone has pioneered many advancements in technology and products in the PM industry. Today Keystone is part of Sumitomo Electric’s Sintered Metal Components Division which has thirteen PM companies located in ten different countries around the world.

Process Engineer Responsibilities:

- Work with manufacturing to troubleshoot/solve manufacturing issues with emphasis on thermal processing.

- Provide expertise in the area of thermal processing which includes sintering and heat treating.

- Monitor control charts, analyze variations in the manufacturing process and provide active input to continuous process improvement.

- Monitor key manufacturing and process systems within the company to assure compliance to both internal and external specifications.

- Communicate processing matters throughout the organization through the appropriate means.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate would possess:

- 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgy or a minimum of five years of equivalent experience within the Powdered Metal industry with an emphasis on materials and processing

- Exceptional verbal, written communication skills

- Excellent organizational skills and project management

- Working knowledge and understanding of powder metal process from compaction through sintering and finally heat treatment.

- Comprehend and show proficiency in the following:

· MPIF Material Standards and Test Methods

· Process Metallurgy and Microstructural analysis

· Metallurgical Sample Preparation

· Heat Treat Case Depth Control

- Proficient in using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook

- Possess an understanding of the equipment used in PM such as sintering and heat treat furnaces
