The Boeing Additive Manufacturing (BAM) organization is seeking a high performing Additive Manufacturing Process Engineers to develop and coordinate production manufacturing plans and contribute innovative solutions to support metal laser powder bed product development in Auburn, Washington .

The Manufacturing Engineer would be accountable for executing the end to end additive manufacturing production process including customer technical reviews, coordination with supply chain, obtaining flow and cost estimates, facilitate manufacturing readiness reviews, and post processing coordination to enable Boeing Additive Manufacturing to achieve progress on significant milestones for transformative solutions on Boeing products.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate and Mid-Level Additive Manufacturing Process Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:
Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements

Coordinate job-specific post-processing activities and testing

Facilitate customer technical meetings and Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRR)

Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts

Create, update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) resolution

Facilitate Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRRs)

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This role is expected to be on-site a minimum of three (3) days a week.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role

Experience with lean manufacturing

Experience with conducting producibility and process improvements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

2+ years of experience with machine and process qualification documentation development

2+ years of experience with manufacturing or working in production environment

2+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing

Experience in additive manufacturing

Experience with metallurgical additive manufacturing

Typical Education/Experience:
Associate-Level (Level 2)
Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level (Level 3)
Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range for Associate-level: $90,000 – $105,000
Summary pay range for Mid-level: $96,050 – $129,950
