Location: Houston, TX 77024 (ONSITE POSITION)

Job Purpose, Duties and Responsibilities

Needs to roll out a collaborative network between the various geographies and ensure new technological bricks developed by research
and development and advanced technologies teams within partners, are delivered in a short time to market and are effectively industrialized. Lastly, New Energies shall provide strong support to operations and business teams in the development of competitive proposals. The process automation and controls engineer will support these objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

Zero personal accidents / incidents. Report near miss incidents and timely and accurately.
Collaborate with product engineers to optimize the system process in fueling applications and develop the functional analysis/controls narrative.
Create process automation documentation including organic analysis, IO list, alarm list, cause/effect matrix, exchange table, etc.
Develop and optimize the code for fueling stations
Work with and supervise third parties as needed to complete project tasks (Electrical and control panel inspections/FAT, software subcontracting, etc.), .
Track system changes and submit/approve management of change (MOCs) in the system as required.
Provide support for system troubleshooting and tuning of installed systems
Communicate through periodic reporting, the scope of work effort and advise on resource
Develop working relationships with project engineers and 3rd party contractors to support a cohesive team capable of rapid response to emergent issues
Provide leadership and guidance with respect to software engineering, embedded controls and
user interfaces
Learn and participate in the improvement of product offerings for alternative energy solutions
Perform equipment inspections and FATs to ensure proper functionality prior to shipment to the field
Support pre-commissioning for projects involving controls (setting up of system)
Support Troubleshooting and fine tuning for all newly installed systems

Qualifications The successful candidate will:
Education: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in analytical fields

Specialized knowledge: Skills: Embedded controls programming, software layout development,
electro-mechanical design, layout and troubleshooting
Professional Certifications are desired
Experience:

• 5+ years experience managing programming projects
• Programming Siemens S7-300, S7-1500 with Step 7/TIA portal and Wincc
• Allen Bradley control Logix, factory talk view a plus but not necessary
• Integration with other third party system over Modbus TCP/IP, Profibus and OPC communication.
Fluent in English
Right to work indefinitely in the United States
Understanding of field wiring standards

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC and Delta V DCS
Familiar with SCADA packages
Working knowledge of compressors and hydraulic systems
Knowledge in VFD drives
Knowledge of networking protocols – Profibus, Profinet and Modbus TCP/IP
knowledge and ability to work with Medium Voltage – 600Volts
Motivate the team through leading by example.
Able to influence others to gain consensus and action.
Familiar with NEC/ASME codes and Hazardous area classifications
