Responsibilities:
The Production Quality Supervisor is responsible for the seamless management of the operational aspects of all production and print objectives to ensure that jobs are created to specifications and delivered on time. This person is also responsible for setting and staying within budget and timelines and ensuring quality control standards are met. He/she works closely with the Director, Creative Ops, internal clients, the creative team, internal print shop and outside vendors from conception to execution to ensure success on a variety of print projects, including marketing materials, event collateral, print ads, signage, direct mail and presentations.

  • Drive quality improvement and cost efficiency inside the following functions: print shop, product storefront, promotional products.
  • Establish, build, and manage all external vendor relationships. Oversee and monitor vendor capabilities and innovations. Expose creative team to new capabilities to help drive inspiration.
  • Function as primary liaison for printed product and service opportunities to include: research, substitutions, pricing, sourcing and product quality.
  • Keep abreast of commodity increases, fluctuations and trends; communicate the impact of such changes to Marketing leadership.
  • Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of all internal and external print objectives and ensure that they are created to specifications and are delivered on time. This includes creating and maintaining schedules, updating the job status in the appropriate project management system, trafficking files to external partners and prioritizing workload to ensure that all deadlines are being met.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for external vendors and internal print shop throughout the duration of the project lifecycle.
  • Manage product storefront (collateral, promotional products), including quality assurance, reporting, traffic, innovation and improvements that lead to efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Writers, Designers, Production, Marketing Specialists, Proofreader and Traffic to define project scope, timeline, budget, and resource plan based on business objectives to help facilitate accurate and timely delivery of materials.
  • Keep projects on track using project management systems, status reports, and task lists.
  • Traffic external production files, manage proof approval process, and archive project materials, including digital asset management.
  • Supervise and mentor print staff to maintain quality standards, keeping them current on technology and training
  • Provide support and mentoring as needed, and guidance on HR-related needs to all members of the print teams.
  • Negotiate and manage pricing and licenses for third party intellectual property including photography, illustrations, etc.
  • Manage printed inventory (warehoused/fulfilled items) and anticipate par level gaps, communicating with the Senior Director, Marketing.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Organizational Behavior or related field experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in an advertising or marketing firm or other large company with multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with print buying.
  • Experience with setting up and maintaining online storefronts.
  • Must have or be willing to get a COVID-19 vaccine, subject to legal requirements.
