Title: Principal Software Engineer
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: Full time with client
Responsibilities
- Architect and drive the implementation of risk controls for future business activities in the Fixed Income space, specifically for Interest Rate Swaps (IRS)
- Work closely with Risk Management and Trading Teams to understand requirements and develop effective solutions for them
- Play a key role in evaluating build vs buy approaches and proposing the appropriate choices given Tower’s requirements
- Mentoring team members in executing various project deliverables
- Investigating production incidents and identifying effective measures to prevent recurrence
- Providing high quality C++ code reviews and architectural reviews
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in the financial trading industry with significant experience in the Fixed Income domain
- Must have significant experience working with IRS, CDS, interest rate derivatives, treasury bonds, corporate bonds, mortgage-backed securities and related products
- Must have strong experience developing performant low-latency trading and risk systems for Fixed Income
- Strong command on modern C++
- Good quantitative skills and experience working with various pricing and quant libraries
- Working knowledge of Linux
- A degree in computer science or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A team player with collaborative and forward-looking mindset
