Job Overview:

  • Supervise engineering personnel, provide man-hour estimates and CTR’s, monitor man-hours, coordinate, and manage daily activities and scheduling priorities for installation engineering while also producing installation analysis and design of subsea equipment/structures, rigid pipeline, flexible lines, and umbilicals, as and when required.
  • Provide technical assistance to tender preparation and tender pre-qualification preparation. It requires attendance preparation and attendance for progress meetings and regular department management meetings.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to the installation team in a project environment.
  • Review/produce reports and calculations to support different phases of the project, namely: conceptual, FEED, and detailed design analysis.
  • Prepare/updates to departmental technical guidelines and standards.
  • Review/produce engineering design basis.
  • Resolve technical queries.
  • Provide deliverables list and philosophies.
  • Review/provide CTRs for different installation work scope.
  • Support bid proposals, technical queries, execution statements, schedule, and man‐hour estimates.
  • Provide input and review of installation related drawings.
  • Participate in design reviews and verifications.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure completion of project
  • Carry out any other subsea engineering works as and when required by the Company.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Vessel motion and hydrodynamic background
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Naval Architecture Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in installation analysis engineering and in SURF EPCI projects and tenders.
  • Experience in leading the installation analysis team in a project environment and interface with project management team.
  • Experience in work allocation to engineers to meet project schedule requirement.
  • In‐depth knowledge and experience in different methods of installation, namely: reel-lay, S-lay and J-lay (including 1st end initiation and 2nd end laydown) of rigid pipelines, flexibles and umbilicals, and structures installation.
  • Familiarity with SURF design codes (API, DNV) and installation procedures.
  • Experience in OrcaFlex, Visual Basic, Mathcad, Shear 7 and python (desirable).
  • Experience evaluating analysis in programs such as OrcaFlex, Abaqus, or equivalent software tools
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to interface with supervisors, colleagues, consultants, vendors, drafting designer, and clients in multi-discipline organizations
  • Able to work independently with general supervision
  • Must have good written and communication skills as well as be proficient in all MS Office tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $135,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
