Job Summary:

The Long Range Precision Fires (LRPF) and Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle (OMFV) programs in the Land Warfare and Air Defense (LWAD) mission area; Precision Fires and Maneuvers (PF&M) product area has an immediate opening for a Production Principal Financial Analyst role to provide analytical support and financial oversight over medium rate, billion dollar missile production contracts. This role will require constant re-evaluation and updating of detail level forecasts with an emphasis on variance analysis and a focus on process improvements and resource optimization to minimize future variances and drive profitability.

This role is being offered in a remote capacity and is based on the needs of the business.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Support the creation of Estimate at Complete (EACs) on a quarterly basis including review of costs, risks and opportunities at the Program Area Level

  • Perform detailed financial analysis for multiple production programs to help define and understand the monthly variances to Budget baseline and EAC positions

  • Development and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) in APEX/SAP, Budget preparation and monthly reporting

  • Analyze, summarize, and inquire about material, labor, and cash receipt forecast inputs provided by other functional leaders and summarize into contract level forecasts

  • Summarize contract level inputs and updates to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP) sales objectives

  • Review, analyze and inquire about manpower level loads for project and task performance for both firm and non-firm activities

  • Contribute to cross-functional teams with an emphasis on financial implications of team decisions and ensure finance team knowledge of program decisions

  • Develop, utilize and disseminate process improvement and tool improvement opportunities to enhance analytical opportunities for the entire finance team

  • Provide training, mentoring, feedback, peer review and input to finance teamwork product of all types to help ensure appropriate messaging and focus

  • Support new proposal development with an emphasis on evaluation of performance assumptions relative to historical trends

  • Monthly Earned Value (EV) reporting

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related field

  • Typically requires 5 years of professional experience in a related finance role; OR an Advanced degree and 3 years of professional experience in a related finance role

  • Hands-On experience with SAP, PMX Toolset or a similar system

Qualifications We Value:

  • Experience with computer skills experience, which include a high level of proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel functions (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Macros, etc.)

  • Experience with Production and/or Operations

  • Experience with interpreting and providing guidance on FAR/DFAR

  • Knowledge of the DoD Acquisition Process

  • Excellent professional communication skills (Verbal and Written)

  • Ability to multi-task and be able to support a dynamic team environment

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
