The Substance Abuse Therapist is responsible for the provision of comprehensive clinical and case management services to clients and their families. This includes the provision of individual, family, group therapies, crisis intervention, assessment, planning, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary teamwork. The Substance Abuse Therapist is responsible for formulating and implementing appropriate treatment plans for clients on their assigned caseload and for timely and satisfactory documentation of all treatment efforts. The Substance Abuse Therapist will adhere to standards, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by Company. The responsibilities of the Substance Abuse Therapist are carried out according to the Company’s policies, procedures, and mission. The Substance Abuse Therapist assumes additional duties as assigned.
Essential Duties:
- Conduct initial evaluation, assess client’s presenting problems and formulate diagnoses
- Develop, implement and modify, as necessary, client’s treatment plans
- Maintain an active caseload providing individual, group and family therapies as needed and within the area of expertise and limits of credentials; assure procurement of additional services as needed
- Participate in continuing education activities, attend meetings and meet regularly with supervisor to exchange pertinent information and receive supervision
- Maintain client and program records in accordance with the Department of Children and Families applicable standards and regulations
- Maintain a high level of ethical and professional conduct regarding confidentiality
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed Clinician (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT)
- Licensed professional with 2 years experience inpatient/outpatient behavioral health setting preferred
- 2 years experience in substance use or mental health treatment setting.
